LOUDER YOUTH: A Youth Activist Campaign for Youth Work Ireland Week 2026
For Youth Work Ireland Week 2026, young people across Ireland will be getting LOUDER about the issues that matter to them, the actions they’re taking in their communities, and the changes they want to see in the world around them.
LOUDER YOUTH is a national campaign designed to shine a light on youth activism within Youth Work Ireland. It’s about celebrating the voices of young people who are already creating change and inspiring others to do the same.
Why LOUDER YOUTH?
We know that young people are most inspired by people they can see themselves in not distant celebrities, but peers who are relatable, visible, and making a real difference. LOUDER YOUTH aims to:
Platform youth activists within Youth Work Ireland
Make young people’s work for change more visible
Normalise activism as something young people do every day
Create a positive ripple effect where youth voice inspires youth action
Who Can Get Involved?
We’re inviting young people aged 12–24 who are part of a Youth Work Ireland service, project, club, or group to take part. If you are involved in any form of advocacy, organising, or change-making locally or nationally we want to hear from you.
How to Take Part
To be part of LOUDER YOUTH, we’re asking participants to share a bit about themselves and their activism. Submissions can take any form that suits you written, audio, video, or images.

About Your Activism
What issue do you want to be LOUDER about?
What made you speak up?
What actions have you taken so far?
What would you say to another young person who cares about something but doesn’t know where to start?
Finish the sentence: “Being LOUDER means…”
Selected stories will be developed into a national social media campaign, with opportunities for wider media coverage, including features with RTÉ and other outlets.
