This workshop will provide skills and knowledge that will assist youth workers to challenge and address GBV through their youth work practice. Workshop participants will also be asked to share their views and experiences in order to assist with the development of further youth work GBV resources.

Workshop Description
This workshop is delivered by Dr Sue Redmond, who developed the Youth Work Ireland YES programme and gender-based violence programmes for Tusla. Participants will include Youth Work Ireland staff and partners. The workshop is limited to 15 participants (50/50 male female participants)
Objectives:
- Empower youth workers on this topic.
- Explore and understand basic concepts
- Leave equipped to challenge and discuss concepts around GBV
- The workshop will contribute to an understanding of what would be useful and needed in terms of a programme for Youth Workers to deliver and further training – this will inform a forthcoming resource.
