ABOUT THIS EVENT
This event is part of Youth Work Ireland’s schedule of Lunchtime Learning session for 2021. These events aim at creating a space for practitioners to share their work, surface challenges they face and support each other in an informal environment.
LGBTI+ YOUTH WORK
For many years Youth Work Ireland’s Member Youth Services have been to the fore in supporting and advocating for young LGBTI+ people. Recently we have seen a significant increase in the numbers of young LGBTI+ people accessing our services – for both one-to-one support and dedicated LGBTI+ and ally groups. This lunchtime learning session will provide a space for practitioners within the Youth Work Ireland Federation to share work practices that have been impactful in their work, and to identify responses to challenges they face.
The session is also an opportunity for us within the Youth Work Ireland Federation to look at our collective role and identify ways we can work together to continue to support this group of young people
